My interest in photography started at the age of thirteen with a trusty Kodak disc camera. While my first pictures were less than glamorous, the camera instilled in me a desire to capture life as I witnessed it. A memory can and will fade, however a photograph can bring it back to life in an instant. Many classes and cameras later, I have a much more defined technical and artistic approach, but I have found that what drives me to photograph remains the same.
My approach to wedding photography is simple: to capture the details, the emotions, the expressions, and the stages of the event with a natural, classic style. My goal is simply to tell the complete story of the day. I desire for others to 'feel' the emotion, the energy, and the thoughtfulness of the wedding through the images I create. This ensures that the story may be told over and over again, throughout a lifetime. I prefer a casual, unobtrusive approach that allows the event to unfold before me, without interrupting the very special moments of the day.
In addition to weddings I love to do portraits. I believe that family photos are the most precious of all possessions. Whether it is a portrait of a child, a couple, or an entire family, I try to create natural, 'real' images that portray true character.
